I have to dedicate this page to my journey in the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Program at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). I will try to put as much information I can throughout my journey on this site to help anyone who is interested in pursuing this degree at UNBC. I am not sure how I will organize this just yet but my original thought is going with semester by semester.
Semester starts inĀ August 2011.
I have decided to create separate pages for each semester. So here is the the page for the first semester: MBA Fall 2011 Semester
August 2011:
I am really excited about the MBA. Received the book list and purchased the books for the Strategic Management and Accounting. There is no text for the Organizational Behaviour’s course. Today (August 05, 2011) also have received the names of the batchmates. Really excited to meet everyone. We are starting our first week of orientation/class at Health Hills Ranch at 100 Mile house.
I am also a bit worried about the course. I have talked with few graduates and also 2 second year students. After talking to them it is clear that this will be a intese week.
May 2011:
I have received the course registration form and the schedule. Finally have filled in the form and dropped it off. Excited about the starting.
April 2011:
All the payment and acceptance formalities are done. Just waiting to hear from the program with schedule and course materials.
On a different note, I am very excited to have convinced 2 people I know to apply for the MBA program at UNBC. One is my HR instructor and another one is my classmate. It will be great if both of them gets into the program but if at least one days, that will be good too, to have some familiar faces.
March 2011
As I mentioned on my Work Journal section, I have been accepted into the Masters of Business (MBA) program at the University of Northern British Columbia. I also have received the Student Line of Credit from Royal Bank of Canada which worked out prettly well. Today I also received an email from the MBA program assitant asking me to let her know whether I am going to accept the offer or not. This is required so she can send me some more details for the registration. Of course I said I am accepting this. Now I am waiting to see what information she sends. I tried to fill in the registration form the other tonight but was not sure of the courses for the first semester. I am assuming she will send that information. I have till March 28, 2011 to pay the inital installment and officially accept the offer.
